There is something truly energising about being surrounded by people who share the same passion for clean energy and electric mobility, and this year’s Everything Electric Show at Farnborough International was no exception. It was billed as The World’s No.1 Home Energy and Electric Vehicle Show, and it certainly lived up to its reputation. From the latest electric vehicles and charging solutions to home energy systems and future technology, it was a full celebration of innovation and sustainability.
Fully Charged Celebrates 15 Years
One of the standout moments of the event took place on the GIGA stage, where Robert Llewellyn and the Fully Charged team presented “15 Years Fully Charged: Past, Present and Powering the Future.” It was a fascinating session that looked back on how Fully Charged grew from a small YouTube experiment into a global voice for clean energy and electrification. The discussion captured the enthusiasm and dedication that has fuelled the movement and reminded everyone how far the industry has come in just a decade and a half.
Tech, Treats and a Robot Dog
There was plenty to see and experience around the halls. The robot dog roaming through the show was a brilliant addition, drawing lots of attention and adding a touch of fun to the day. Over at the Admiral stand, the pick and mix proved to be a popular stop and went down very well with everyone. It was a nice way to recharge in between all the activity and conversations.
Exploring the Latest Electric Vehicles
It was fantastic to see so many electric vehicles up close, showcasing the incredible range of choice now available on the market. Sitting inside the Rivian and the VW ID Buzz, watching television from the back seat of the BMW i7, and exploring the new Mercedes eCitan at the EVision Electric Vehicles stand were definite highlights. Each vehicle demonstrated how far technology has progressed, from comfort and design to performance and practicality.
The event offered a real sense of how mature the EV industry has become, with something to suit every driver and every lifestyle. Whether you are after a family vehicle, a business van, or a luxury saloon, the electric options available today are more exciting than ever.
The ZapHeap Challenge
Another memorable part of the show was watching the live ZapHeap Finale. The atmosphere was brilliant and the competition added an exciting buzz to the day. It was great to see so much creativity and innovation on display as teams rose to the challenge and showcased their ideas and skills.
A Community Driven by Passion
Perhaps the most inspiring part of the event was meeting so many people who are genuinely passionate about making a difference. Everywhere you looked there were conversations about sustainability, new technology, and the future of electric transport. The sense of shared purpose was unmistakable and it was clear that the movement towards greener living is gathering real momentum.
Attending Everything Electric at Farnborough International was a reminder of just how far the world of electric vehicles and clean energy has come. It was a brilliant experience from start to finish and we left feeling more optimistic than ever about the future of sustainable transport and energy.
Until next time, Farnborough. We are already looking forward to the next one.
